Once Upon a Time

Calling all artists! Share your creativity and help brighten our Festival for the 2022 Season!

Our annual Mural Competition has begun and we’re looking for creative painters to paint a beautiful mural that captures the spirit of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival! Your murals can include but are not limited to jousting, juggling, mermaids, fairies, dragons, unicorns, your favorite acts from the Renaissance, witches, wizards, and more! Designs must be original and painted by the person submitting the form.

All murals must be 2′ x 2′ and painted with an outdoor paint or finished with a waterproof cover. They must be painted on a weather-treated material (i.e. treated plywood). The murals will be put on display at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and will be exposed to the elements during the duration of our 2022 season. Please write your name on the back bottom right corner of the mural. Upon delivery provide a copy of your registration form taped to the back. Contest FREE to enter. Each submitted mural competitor will receive one free admission ticket.

Murals will become the property of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival once dropped off. **Please call ahead to schedule your drop off time**

Once completed you may drop your murals/forms off at the Festival Studio Office located at:

  • Murals will become property of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival once dropped off.

PRIZES:

• Grand Prize: 2023 Season Pass, T-Shirt, & Festival Mug
• Second Place: 4 Festival Admissions Tickets & T-Shirt
• Third Place: Festival T-Shirt & Mug

Patrons will vote for their favorite mural. The top 3 murals will be awarded a prize!

ENCHANTED EDUCATORS APPRECIATION WEEKEND

No poison apples here! Just an appley ever after for all the hardworking K-12 teachers, school faculty, & staff, who can get FREE admission by order of his majesty King Henry to the Once Upon a Time weekend (August 20-21). Simply present a valid school ID badge at the box office for your discount.

ARTISAN APPRECIATION

The first two weekends of the Festival, our patrons will be able to support their favorite shoppes’ & get rewarded! Turn in your receipts totaling $250 or more to the information booth located inside of Kings Gate and receive one free admission ticket to return on one of the remaining weekends!

BLOOD DRIVE

Memorial Blood Centers and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival have partnered once again to bring you the Annual Blood Drive! Donate blood and receive FREE ADMISSION to the Festival! Bloodmobiles will be located near King’s Gate, Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Sunday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Register at www.mbc.org/searchdrives SPONSOR CODE: 4149.

TROLLS, SCROLLS & HONOR ROLLS

Congratulations! The Minnesota Renaissance Festival is celebrating your Honor Roll achievement by providing you a FREE complimentary ticket to the 2022 festival. Bring your A or B report card to the box office to receive your discount. Promotion active for current elementary through college students.

SOLDIER SAVINGS

Any member of the armed services, active or veteran, will receive $5 off their gate Admission to the festival with the proper ID. It’s our special way of saying thank you to our country’s biggest heroes. This deal is valid for all current and past military members with government issued ID. To take advantage of this discount, present a valid military ID at the festival box office.
