Contest Subject Guidelines

The Minnesota Renaissance Festival invites photographers to submit performance day images from the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. The Minnesota Renaissance is one of the most photographed events in the entire Midwest. Now, photographers have a chance to score great prizes, including a chance to have their image posted on the MRF webpage, published in the new festival calendar, and be invited to an exclusive photo contest party to be held in late fall.

The contest challenge is to capture the colorful celebratory quality of the participants, patrons and even the pets. Your photographs can show performers and crafters, jousters and fairies, customers and royalty, dogs and dukes. Use your imagination, tell a story, and enter for a chance to win great prizes from the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and the Minneapolis Photo Center. As a winner or a select runner-up, your image might appear in our exciting new 2014 Photo Contest Calendar*, or on display at festival sponsored events or galleries. Show us the magic!
