2021 Mural Contest

Calling all artists! Share your creativity and help brighten our Festival for the 2021 Season!

Our annual Mural Competition has begun and we’re looking for creative painters to paint a beautiful mural that captures the spirit of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival! Your murals can include but are not limited to jousting, juggling, mermaids, fairies, dragons, unicorns, your favorite acts from the Renaissance, witches, wizards, and more! Designs must be original and painted by the person submitting the form.

All murals must be 2′ x 2′ and painted with an outdoor paint or finished with a waterproof cover. They must be painted on a weather-treated material (i.e. treated plywood). The murals will be put on display at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and will be exposed to the elements during the duration of our 2021 season. Please write your name on the back bottom right corner of the mural. Upon delivery provide a copy of your registration form taped to the back.

Murals will become the property of the Minnesota Renaissance Festival once dropped off.

Once completed you may drop your murals off at the Festival Studio Office located at:
12364 Chestnut Blvd 
Shakopee, MN 55379 

If you’re dropping off before the first weekend of the festival please call (952) 698-9553 and schedule a time to drop off.

Drop off times are: 
August 10th-12th between the times of 9am & 3pm.
August 17th-19th between the times of 9am & 3pm.

First Weekend August 21st & 22nd at the Info Booth. Your registration form MUST BE taped on the back of your mural as well as your name printed on the back bottom right corner. Murals dropped off after August 19th will NOT be eligible for a prize or admission ticket.

2nd Prize: Four 2021 Festival Admission Tickets & Renaissance Festival T-Shirt
3rd Prize: Renaissance Festival T-Shirt, and Festival Mug

All registration forms must be mailed or emailed in by August 9th!

All murals must be dropped off by August 19th! Any murals dropped off after August 19th will not be eligible to receive One Free Admission Ticket or Prizes. They may still be accepted and put on display if turned in August 21st or 22nd at the Festival Information Booth.

2021 Coloring Book Contest

Help us create a fantastic coloring book for our 6th Annual Coloring Book Competition! We’re looking for aspiring artists who want to show their creativity in a fun, intricate way!

Your design should be unique and capture the spirit of the Renaissance Festival! Submissions should be Renaissance themed and can include but are not limited to jousting, juggling, mermaids, fairies, knights, dragons, unicorns, your favorite acts from the Renaissance, witches, wizards, and more!

*Anyone can enter for a chance to win!
*We have ADULT and CHILD (12 and younger) registration forms that you can download and print.
*Those who are chosen to be a part of the final Coloring Book Edition will receive 1 FREE Coloring Book & 2 FREE Tickets to the 2021 Minnesota Renaissance.

Adult First Place Winner: will receive a Season Pass for the 2021 Renaissance Festival Season!
Child First Place Winner: will receive a Season Pass for the 2021 Renaissance Festival Season!

Also:
– Make sure that your handwriting is legible on the forms for us to review.
– If you have a change of address in between the time that you submit your artwork and the time we send out the coloring books for those who have been chosen, please send us an email with the change of address.
