Bio on the Feast Masters
Two recognizable faces around the Renaissance Festival include Jim and Laszlo, the Feast Masters of the Feast of Fantasy! But do you know what this hilarious pair do while taking a break from entertaining guests at the Feast?
Laszlo Nemesi is half Hungarian and half of the Feastmaster team. Laszlo is a native to Minnesota, and began his career working at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in 1989 as professional ticket taker. Throughout the year, Laszlo is also an emcee and ring announcer for local professional wrestling events, and has recently performed in “Flanagan’s Wake” in St. Paul. Laszlo is also a puppeteer, ordained minister, and enjoys setting things on fire. If you are still reading this, your lottery numbers are 3-16-21-33-42 and the PowerBall is 8.This is Laszlo’s 20th year with the Feast of Fantasy!
Jim Cunningham has been a Twin Cities actor for more than 30 years, He was a Resident Company Member for years at Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop and can be seen every summer in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) at Brit’s Pub and in December in It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play at The Saint Paul Hotel. Jim was the original Tony in the Minneapolis hit show, Tony and Tina’s Wedding, and for the past 5 years he has terrified and delighted guests as the Host of The Phantom’s Feast held at Bad Manor in October for Halloween as part of Trail of Terror. He is the Minister of Fun for both the Minnesota Twins (21 Seasons) and the Minnesota Wild (16 Seasons) . Cunningham has been with the Festival since 1982 and began as a Feastmaster in 1990.
