RENAISSANCE FEST TRANSIT RIDERS TO USE BOTH MARSCHALL ROAD TRANSIT STATION AND EAGLE CREEK PARK AND RIDE ON SUNDAY (OCTOBER 2).
For those who plan to use MVTA public transit to attend the Renaissance Festival on Sunday, October 2, please be advised that MVTA will be running direct buses from Marschall Road Transit Station (1615 Weston Ct, Shakopee, MN 55379) from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., after which riders are asked to access transit to and from the Renaissance Festival from the Eagle Creek Park and Ride location (6600 County Highway 16/Eagle Creek Boulevard, Shakopee,) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The last trip to the Renaissance Festival will be departing Eagle Creek at 2 p.m.. Return rides to both locations will be operating throughout the afternoon until the festival closes.
Round-trip fare is $3 and can be paid in cash (exact amount, drivers don’t make change) or with digital ticket purchased on the Ride MVTA app. Search “Ride MVTA” on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to download the free app. Children 12 and under ride free. GoTo Cards cannot be used on our special service trips.
Trips available from Marschall Road Transit Station Aug. 20 – Oct. 2
MVTA will be providing round-trip transportation service to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival on the weekends of Aug. 20 through Oct. 2.
MVTA buses will depart from Marschall Road Transit Station, 1615 Weston Court, Shakopee, and provide direct service to the Renaissance Festival grounds using a new transit lane that will drop off customers right outside main admission gate.
Round-trip fare is $3 and can be paid in cash (exact amount, drivers don’t make change) or with digital ticket purchased on the RideMVTA app. Search “Ride MVTA” on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to download the free app. Children 12 and under ride free.
Customers who ride with MVTA to the festival also will receive a coupon for $5 off their admission ticket to the Renaissance Festival at the festival entrance gate.
Aug. 20 – Sept. 5 Schedule (Including Labor Day)
On Saturdays and Sundays and Labor Day, Sept. 5 (Aug. 20 through Sept. 5), buses will depart Marschall Road Transit Station at 8:30 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11 a.m., 12:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
Return trips to Marschall Road Transit will depart from the festival at 2:30 p.m., 3:45 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Sept. 10 – Oct. 2 Schedule (Including Friday, Sept. 30)
On Saturdays and Sundays (Sept. 10 through Oct. 2) as well as Friday, Sept. 30, buses will depart Marschall Road Transit Station at 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m.; 11:15 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m. 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Return trips to Marschall Road Transit will depart from the festival at 12:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Marschall Road Transit Station has connections to the regional transportation system, including Route 495, which runs between Marschall Road Transit Station, Burnsville Transit Station and the Mall of America. MVTA’s 4FUN bus also stops at Marschall Road with connections at Mystic Lake Casino, Valleyfair and the Mall of America.
